Spontaneous Parametric Down-Conversion (SPDC) is a non-linear process used to create entangled photons. 2D materials are exceptionally suited for SPDC due to their strong nonlinearity. Unlike conventional materials, adjusting their twist angle allows us to engineer entirely new quantum light sources.
